Welcome to Rhodes Island.

Travel Guide to Rhodes Island, Greece. Important information, helpful hints and tips for you to get the most from your holiday.

Rhodes is famous as the island of sun, sea and sand, the ideal place for vacations. It is the third largest Greek island and officially, the sunniest place in the Europe. The island draws hot summer rays like a magnet, so it's no wonder that it is called the island of the sun. We have beaches with white sand, beaches for windsurfing, serene and calm beaches in the South, or if you like, bustling party beaches in Faliraki and Rhodes Town. The old town of Rhodes is a living settlement of some 150 acres (including the walls and the moat) with a population of approximately 6000 who live and work in the same buildings, that were used by the Knights of St. John 500 years ago.
