The traditional village of Koskinou
Between Rhodes and Faliraki, on the coast road, you'll
find the village of Koskinou, a popular and international resort. The magical
combination of a colorful village, impressive old houses small winding streets
and a lively nightlife. It has a lovely sandy beach, offering sun beds and
umbrellas for you, to relax. Along the beach there are excellent tavernas,
snack bars. For those seeking for sports, there are all kinds of water sports,
along the beach and the clear inviting sea. The rocky coastline next to
Kallithea, is indented by small coves.
It's here, where some of the islands largest and finest
hotels have been built. The beach is less than 500 m from the road and might be
reached, by tuning in one, of that small streets, running in its direction.
In a distance of 2 km there is the picturesque village of
Koskinou. The traditional village is well known for the narrow winding roads,
the church at the square, built 1873 and the large number of houses, which have
interior decoration, in the traditional Rhodian style, with cobblestone floors.
One you can visit - there is a sign leading to the small museum. The village is
surrounded by courtyards full of flowers.
