Malona village From Archangelos, you can make a slight detour by leaving the new road and taking the old, but surfaced, national road to Malona. This route will bring you through the fertile Naithon valley, with its plentiful orange, mandarin and lemon trees. In the village itself, there are a few tavernas, cafinia, shops and some rooms to let. If you stroll though the winding streets, you'll recognize that plenty houses are empty - In the early 80-ties plenty inhabitants of Malona emigrated to America. Some didn't return until today. Don't miss, the church, decated to Saint Irene, which is from great interest. Its inside is decorated with colorful wall paintings.
